Development on the West Shore is being recommended at Sunnyside, Tahoe Pines, Homewood, Tahoma, Meeks Bay and Rubicon. We need to respond to this “Smart Growth” appeal, which will bring increased heights, density and mixed-use in our communities.
Attached is a petition opposing a three story parking garage proposed by Homewood Mountain Resort developers. We need as many signatures as possible to present to the TRPA Governing Board at their next meeting on August 25th to show that the West Shore community is against this large parking structure. There are no multiple level parking garages on the west or north shores of the lake.

Homewood Mountain Resort development – proposed parking garage
In keeping with the character of Homewood, I am opposed to the three-story above ground Parking Garage as proposed by the Homewood Mountain Resort developers. A parking garage does not belong anywhere on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, and would set a precedent for future West Shore parking structures.
