Take the Homewood Survey

Homewood Mountain Resort Final Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement Survey

Help make West Shore community voices heard. This is our last chance to unite the West Shore community voices before a final decision is made on the proposed Homewood project. Friends of the West Shore supports a revitalized Homewood Mountain Resort BUT the current proposal is simply TOO BIG. We are concerned about the size and scale of the current project and feel that it is not compatible with the long-standing character of Homewood and the West Shore. The project height, density, increase in traffic and change in groundwater run-off will all negatively impact the environment, lake clarity, and community character.  Make your concerns heard by TRPA and Placer County.

Basic project background

  • A total of 325 units, over 750 bedrooms and over approximately 1,500 tourists
  • A 272 space three level public parking structure with additional underground parking included elsewhere in the project
  • HMR has estimated 1,456 new vehicle trips a day in summer. The creation of more than 200 new daily trips in summer is considered to be a significant impact
  • A health spa, ice skating rink, 18 hole miniature golf course, three swimming pools, a gondola, a new learn-to ski lift and a significant amount of commercial floor area.

Please note whether you agree or disagree with the statements below and add additional comments at the bottom of the page. We appreciate your support and passion to Keep the West Shore the Best Shore!
