How Can I Participate?
Attend Meetings.
Attend public meetings and workshops scheduled by Placer and El Dorado Counties and TRPA to help monitor the proposed projects and Area Plans for the West Shore and Tahoe Basin through their environmental review and public processes.
Spread the Word.
Invite us to speak with you and your neighbors about current issues. If you are a member of a community group, HOA, or host a popular neighborhood party, we would like to collaborate. For extra chatty volunteers, we can always use help speaking to groups, planning agencies, and neighbors.
Write Letters.
Write letters regarding projects to the planning agencies, local and regional newspapers (i.e. the Sierra Sun, Moonshine Ink), and other outlets. Exercise your inner artist while helping shape the West Shore.
Become a Friend.
Become a Friend of the West Shore and join the 500+ local supporters working together to keep the West Shore wild and wonderful. If you are interested in becoming a board member or consultant, or have another way you would like to support FOWS, please get in touch.
