Meeks Bay Restoration
The deteriorating condition of the existing marina infrastructure, along with concerns over water quality, aquatic invasive species, and degraded habitat for native species have prompted the need for action in Meeks Bay.
Homewood Mountain Resort
For years, Homewood Mountain Resort (HMR) has been planning and seeking financing for an expansion to add more chairlifts, lodging, and commercial space to the existing property. FOWS has many concerns about the impact this development will have on the West Shore.
SR 89 Corridor Plan
The draft State Route (SR) 89 Corridor Plan, which will address options to improve traffic and pedestrian conditions in the future, especially at Emerald Bay and Camp Richardson, will be released soon.
Squaw Valley Village
The proposed project includes major new construction at Squaw Valley, drawing thousands more overnight guests, countless more day visitors, buildings over 100 feet that will forever block cherished Valley views, and other impacts to the Squaw Valley community and the environment, including within the Lake Tahoe Basin.
Martis Valley West

Fanny Bridge/SR 89 Realignment
